During the 2014 US Open, tennis greats are found sprinkling the USTA Billie Jean National Tennis Center grounds, playing anywhere from Arthur Ashe Stadium to Court 17. On Wednesday and Thursday and into the weekend, you can watch some of the greatest players of the Open era – including eight Hall of Famers – playing together in men’s and women’s doubles competition in the US Open Champions tournament.

The event features 16 former Grand Slam tournament champions or finalists, and the list of participants represents some of the greatest names in history, including four-time US Open champions John McEnroe and Martina Navratilova.

Tennis legends have been paired off into four men’s and women’s doubles teams, with the winning duos from Wednesday’s matches and Thursday’s semifinals advancing to this weekend’s finals.

The eight teams taking part in this year’s US Open Champions event include:

Men’s Teams
John McEnroe/Patrick McEnroe
Mats Wilander/Henri Leconte
Michael Chang/Mark Philippoussis
Todd Martin/Pat Cash

Women’s Teams
Martina Navratilova/Jane Novotna
Tracy Austin/Gigi Fernandez
Lindsay Davenport/Mary Joe Fernandez
Chanda Rubin/Iva Majoli

Last year, John and Patrick McEnroe captured the men’s championship, while Navratilova and Rennae Stubbs won the women’s championship.
